“Unless I am willing to wait, I will not perceive the author of all justice. Unless I am willing to slow down, my ears will miss the voice of peace. So, my word for the first time this Advent is stop. Stop everything and perceive God!” ― Michael T. McRay, Keep Watch with Me: An Advent Reader for Peacemakers What has been the pace of your Advent season so far? How have you found space for Peace? What is it like to slow down, in the midst of a “holiday season” where everything seems to speed up? If it's felt impossible, for whatever reason, how do you feel about that? How are you hearing “the voice of peace” in the midst of it all? Consider taking some intentional time today, this week, this advent, to lean in to this kind of rest-from-doing that makes space to listen to God and your own soul in a way that is unhurried and open to whatever new invitations may come. If that feels like a stretch, what is it like to just be-with the Prince of Peace in whatever rhythm you find yourself this season?
