“Always we begin again.” – St. Benedict If you have felt like you have “failed” at Lent in some way—whether that’s neglecting a practice you had intended, breaking a fast, or never even starting in the first place—(a), you haven’t (you can’t…!) and (b) what if today was “Day One” of Lent? What if the Lenten season was a week and a half long, and began (again) today? What would your fasts and practices look like, if you had a bit of a fresh start this week? Is there something you still want to engage with this Lent? It’s not too late! You can still join Jesus in the wilderness today. Bring your belovedness, and face what there is to face. Continue to be present in the desert, with all its dryness and hunger. See what comes. Let these last few days of the Lenten season be “enough.”
