Artistic Afternoons: Draw the silence. Sculpt the stillness. Dance the solitude. Let yourself enter the poustinia, your own personal monk’s cell (whether that is a physical place in the world/within your home, or an inner space you carry with you), and CREATE in that space. Whatever comes. Even if it feels contradictory. What does it feel like to dance to silence? To be still and creative at the same moment? To be fully alone, and yet really *with* the Creative One, expressing whatever is arising in you in that place? Even if it seems to break the “rules” of the poustinia, and you can’t imagine any other poustinik doing it, let yourself respond to God creatively in the silence, solitude, and stillness. What emerges?
