Free Write Friday: Hope Haiku We read a couple of poets' takes on hope earlier today; now write your own. Feel free to let that take any format you wish, but if it's easier to have the constraints of a particular form, use the simple haiku: three lines, consisting of 17 syllables (split up 5/7/5--see below for example). What nature imagery speaks of hope to you? Unfold that in your poem (and share yours in the comments! Let's gather our hope together--into a garden? A bonfire? A flock? depending on what imagery you choose!) The seed opens to the light; in its breaking it becomes a new thing.
